Oh internets... I have missed thee!

I'm alive... ALIVE! Well, mostly.

And do I have some stories for you.

About a chance encounter with a PWD when I least expected it.

About BG craziness.

About SWAG-ing Portuguese food, and mostly losing.

About an incredible turnout for the Team Elise walk in Portugal.

About meeting one of the sweetest, most lovely D-Moms ever. And not getting to spend nearly enough time getting to know her and her family better.

About returning home to utter chaos.

About beaches, castles, family reunions, Elise wowing everyone with her mad Portuguese skills, and all the fun that was had.

I missed you guys. Being without internet was sooooo painful. But good too. But I feel so out of the loop! Between the dealing with jet-lag, two crazy kids, diabetes, PLUS unpacking our new home, I won't even be able to catch up on all of your lives.

I think it would be cool for anyone reading this to leave me a comment and tell me something that has happened in your life in the last 20 days. As much as it appears to be a cheap attempt to get comments, I really want to know!

I'm also hoping to get some pictures uploaded to my other blog soon, but for now I will leave you with the utter cuteness that is my kids.

  2. WELCOME BACK!! You have been missed!

I was able to take an 'all by myself' trip to GA for 6 days for my nephew's graduation. Utter bliss to be kid-less and Dcare-less.

Looking forward to more stories and pictures when you have time...ha! ;)

  10. Hi, Nice to see your back; your perspective on life missed around here. Our news is that we're on the pod now. I keep thinking of your post you wrote a while back about how you didn't think you want to pump. Now that we're doing it as novices, I'm missing some of the good stuff about MDI. But, I'm hoping eventually I'll start understanding more and appreciating the pumping experience as much as one can. I also seem to remember that I commented on that post of yours. I think we had had diabetes for like three days. And, I wrote how you could dose insulin from a cell phone. I now realize I had been TOTALLY confused. Just thought I'd remind you of my ignorance!

  13. So good to see you pop up in my blog reader! Sounds like you've got some great stories to tell!

Not much is shakin' over here. School's out so we've been busy with summer stuff already. And next weekend I celebrate my b-day by going on a roadtrip with my friend to see that dude Glen Hansard a couple of times. Whoo!

Looking forward to your upcoming posts! And love the pic of the kiddos! :)

  14. Yay!!!!! You are back!!!! I have missed you a ton. :) Can't wait to read about your adventures!

Let's see...my little dude Adam graduated preschool...and now he will be a kindergartener. Other than that, we have been attempting to survive the AZ heat in the pool every day. :)

  16. Welcome back! I have missed your posts....always love reading what you have to say. I have been away from blogging for a bit too, but am now getting back to it. Natalie graduated preschool (aggh!) and will be going to kindergarten in the fall (not ready for that). Both kids are out of school for the summer and I love having them home with me, especially to keep an eye on Natalie all the time!

  17. Look at that beach! The cuteness! Can't wait to hear about your trip. In the past 20 days..I have traveled across the country, run through a sprinkler, had my plane land in a thunderstorm (very exciting), gotten pneumonia, had to put my dear 12 year old cat to sleep and cried in a bucket for a couple of days and today is my birthday and I am OLD! Sounds complain-y but actually life is good!!

  19. We all had strep a couple times, all the boys AND Ryan had scarlet fever. We went to Disney on on the way back broke down ON the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge...and now we are in the middle of swimming lessons/basketball camp/scout camp/and general summer chaos!

But who cares about that when there is a cutie pa tootie pic of your beauties on the beach. SOOOO Sweet!

    Welcome home!
