Move

I was thinking about life with D the other day. How it has caused a lot more "movement" in my life. Amy likened it to a mouse on the wheel the other day... running, running, but not really going anywhere. And while that can be true, I'd much rather handle it like the video below.

It is a marvelous piece of work. As I watched it, I thought, "this... THIS is what life with D should be like. This is how I should be moving".

With purpose.

Determination.

Not too quickly.

Enjoying the different places D will take Elise and I.

Taking in the sights.

Having fun.

Appreciating the journey.

But still moving forward. Not standing still. Nor going backwards.

This is how I want to move.

  4. Hi Joanne!
So glad to hear from you and yes we have lots in common! I have tried to email you personally but our computer will not allow for the email...not sure why?
Yes, my husband is so Portuguese...he was born in Northern Portugal then his family moved to NYC when he was three. His parents still have a house there but are currently in the states to take care of some health issues. Our son was diagnosed a year ago at 14 months old and I have to say you have been very creative with the way you have wipped NPH into shape at your house! Your kiddos are beyond adorable and I only wish you lived next door...any chance you might venture another move?! I would be honored to be included on your blog roll. Email me anytime!
